Happy Wednesday, Prodeo families! Today we're featuring Ms. Mary Barsness, the assistant principal in our Minneapolis Middle Academy. Ms. Barsness started a non profit called No Helmet No Ride to encourage people to wear helmets on bikes, blades and boards. It's now run by Regions Hospital. She says "I'm a nut about safety, just ask the kids!" When she's not at Prodeo, Ms. Barsness loves to cook, parent, plan her garden all winter and weed her garden all summer. She became a reader when a teacher read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to her class. What she loves most about Prodeo is that "our students are the best, and I love that the people who work here use equal parts data and heart." Thanks, Ms. Barsness!
